TIME27 Myoko Kogen, Japan
Technology, Innovation, Medicine, Education
Translating Innovation into Medicine & Educatio
10 –15 January 2027 | LOTTE ARAI RESORT
In 2027, TIME expands to Japan.
TIME27 Myoko Kogen brings the established TIME conference format to the Japanese Alps. The programme, faculty calibre, and educational philosophy mirror what delegates expect from TIME in Europe, delivered in a distinctly Japanese alpine setting.
Arai Resort sits in one of the most snow-reliable regions in the world, with seasonal snowfall of up to 14 metres. It offers a different mountain experience to Europe: deep snow, space, calm efficiency, and immersion in Japanese culture.
The TIME programme
TIME27 Myoko follows the established TIME format and will run in parallel with TIME27 Val Thorens.
The programme is designed for clinicians working in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, Anaesthesia, Acute and General Medicine, Retrieval, Nursing, Paramedicine, and allied health, as well as professionals working in digital health and clinical innovation.
Core themes
Acute clinical care
Trauma, sepsis, resuscitation, and acute deterioration, with emphasis on practical decision-making in real-world settings.
Clinical skills development
Point-of-care ultrasound, procedural teaching, case-based multidisciplinary discussion, and contemporary morbidity and mortality-style learning.
Innovation and future practice
AI in clinical decision-making, digital health systems, workflow design, and the operational realities of adopting new technologies in acute care.
Leadership, ethics, and equity
Inclusive leadership, culturally safe care, neurodiversity, and system-level thinking that supports sustainable practice.
Team and network building
Cross-disciplinary learning that reflects how modern hospitals function.
Sessions are structured to preserve meaningful time on the mountain while maintaining a high-density educational programme.
Why Japan. Why Myoko.
We have done the hard work for you!
We travelled across Japan and assessed resorts through the same lens we apply to clinical education: reliability, infrastructure, depth, and experience. Myoko Kogen stood out.
The region combines exceptional snowfall, modern lift infrastructure, and a high-quality resort base with easy access from Tokyo. Arai Snow Resort, in particular, offers terrain that rewards full-day skiing and is accessible across a wide range of experience levels.
Add to this a culture that values efficiency, hospitality, and attention to detail, and the result is a location that works equally well for clinicians travelling alone, with colleagues, or with family.
